Frequently Asked Questions – Wedding Photography & Videography in Riviera Maya
How much does your wedding photography service cost?
Our wedding photography packages start at $1,000 USD. We offer a variety of options, including:
Photography-only coverage
Combined photo and video packages
One or two photographers, depending on the number of hours and coverage needed
We’re happy to help you choose the best package to match your wedding day vision and budget.
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking at least one month in advance to secure your preferred date. Wedding season in the Riviera Maya and Cancun can get fully booked quickly, especially during peak months.
Do you offer videography services as well?
Yes, we offer professional wedding videography as part of our packages. While our company is newly established, I bring over 14 years of experience in the wedding industry, having worked with top companies across the Riviera Maya. Our team is highly experienced and works with seamless coordination to capture your day beautifully.
What’s included in the video package? Do you offer both a highlight and a full film?
Yes, we offer:
Highlight videos
Short cinematic films
The final length and editing style depend on the package you choose. All films are crafted to tell the unique story of your wedding day.
Do you work with a second shooter or assistant?
Most of our packages include a second shooter, who also assists during key moments. However, we also offer solo photographer options for more intimate events or smaller weddings.
Do you recommend golden hour for wedding portraits? What is it?
Absolutely. Golden hour—30 minutes before and after sunset—is the ideal time for soft, warm, and flattering natural light.
In the Mexican Caribbean (Playa del Carmen, Tulum, Cancun), sunset occurs on the east coast, so light fades earlier.
On islands like Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, and Holbox, you can enjoy breathtaking west-coast sunsets—perfect for romantic wedding portraits.
What’s the best time to start our ceremony for ideal lighting?
For optimal light in your wedding photos:
In Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum: start your ceremony about 1.5 hours before sunset.
In Cancun: start at least 2 hours before sunset to ensure great lighting.
On islands with west-facing views: you can begin closer to sunset, as the golden light lasts longer.
How many photos do you deliver, and in what format?
The number of photos depends on your selected package. We always deliver at least the minimum specified, but often include more based on how your day unfolds.
Are the photos edited? Do we get high-resolution files?
Yes, all final photos are professionally edited for light, color, and style. You'll receive:
High-resolution JPG images
A secure online gallery (available for 3 months)
Download access to all your photos (no watermarks)
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?
Delivery typically takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on our editing queue. However, we always send a sneak peek shortly after your wedding so you can relive a few key moments while waiting for the full gallery.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes, we are happy to travel for destination weddings. Travel and accommodation costs are not included in our packages and would be quoted separately based on your location.
What if it rains or the weather is bad? Do you have backup plans?
Weather is unpredictable, especially in tropical areas. If it rains:
We adapt using indoor or covered areas with the best available light
If you're open to it, rainy-day photos with umbrellas can look epic and cinematic
We focus on creating beautiful images in any condition
Do we sign a contract?
Yes. To secure your wedding date, we require:
A signed contract
A 30% deposit of your selected package
Only with both confirmed can we guarantee your booking.
