Hi, I'm Vanessa Cruz

I've loved photography since I was a child. I got my first camera when I was nine, and since then, I've always enjoyed capturing the little moments happening around me.

I studied photography in Mexico City, where I learned the technical side of photography and developed my own way of seeing and capturing moments.

For more than 10 years, I've photographed weddings in the Riviera Maya, including years working with some of the well-known photography studios in the area. All of that experience eventually inspired me to create something more personal — Vavana Wedding Studio.

The name Vavana comes from my own name — it's a mix of two nicknames I had as a child. I wanted the studio to feel personal and connected to something that has been part of my life for many years.

When I'm photographing a wedding, I pay attention to the big moments, but also to the little things happening around them — the expressions, the laughter, the people, and the moments you may not see.

And when I'm not photographing weddings, there's a very good chance you'll find me surrounded by dogs.

Some things have always been easy to love.
